Decorate your own Christmas tree

Make your own Christmas tree and decorate it according to your own taste.

Download the Christmas tree, the decoration and the instructions and print it.

How to make the tree:

• Cut out the four halves of the Christmas tree.
• To get a green and stable tree glue the two halves together that have the white line on the same part of the tree. Now you should have two halves that are green on both sides.
• Cut each half along the vertical line.
• Take the tree-half which you cut from the top and plug it into the cut of the other half coming from below.
• The tree should be able to stand on its own when the edges are pointing in the four directions.
• To make the tree more stable you can cut out the 4 big stars, bend each one at its half and glue them together on the top of the tree. This prevents the tree from collapsing.

How to decorate the Christmas tree:

• Cut out the ornaments you would like to put on your tree. Please mind not to cut off the green part.
• Bend the green part to the back and make a short horizontal cut into your tree wherever you want to place the ornament.
• Put the ornament into the cut. You can decorate all sides of the tree likewise.

Special tricks for those who want to go further:

If you also want to decorate the inner part of the tree there are two possibilities of doing so:
- Take a sharp knife and cut the inner part of the tree that you would like to decorate. Put the green part of the ornament into the cut.
- Cut away the green part of the ornament and glue it onto the tree.

- real tinsel in full length can be used as a garland that you can drape around the tree
- cut the tinsel in short pieces and hang it on the tree in the traditional way
