For over 10 years now, the sporting event "Kärnten Läuft" has been attracting all those who are into running to the Lake Wörthersee. From 19th to 21st August 2011, the hobby-athletes will once again experience fun and sports on the most beautiful location. |

The local newspaper "Kleine Zeitung" will be hosting not only the running event but also the family-friendly supporting program. On the lake-side event location, the so-called Running City, running events of all kinds will be offered.
On Friday more than 30 exhibitors will present their goods at the Sports Fair; attending the Night Run, company teams can prove themselves and then celebrate their success at the Runners Party on Friday night.
Saturday is all about family: the afternoon provides special running events for children alone. Animal lovers and their four-legged friends get their money's worth as well at the Dog Run.
The sportive highlight will be Sunday: in front of the backdrop of the Schloss Hotel Velden, thousands of athletes start the half marathon. It is just a ten minutes walk from the AllYouNeed Hotel Klagenfurt, where this final run ends at the Wörthersee Lake Stage – where the athletes can freshen up in the cooling water.
