The traditional Vienna tour

How can I see as much as possible in a short amount of time?

Karlskirche_Vienna.jpgVienna has just so much beauty to offer, it’s hard to see it all. It’s a good thing that you’ve got centrally located accommodation. Strengthened by a delicious breakfast, you’re ready to conquer the city on foot. As they say, getting there is half the fun, and in just a few minutes you can walk to the breathtaking Karlskirche.

Allow yourself some time to marvel at its beauty, and then continue on your way and walk just a few steps to the Vienna State Opera. The Hofburg and Volksgarten are next on the itinerary. A little detour into the city centre will lead you to the Spanish Riding School. Back to the magnificent Ring Street, where you can take a ride on the tram and comfortably view one historical landmark after the other.

Parliament_Vienna.jpgOn the left, you can see the Museums of Natural History and Art History, the Parliament, the Town Hall and on the other side of the street you can see the Burg Theatre. If you decide to ride the entire round, you’ll also see the Votivkirche, the old Stock Exchange, the Urania and the Museum of Applied Arts.

And when you reach Schwarzenbergplatz, the tram completes its circle and goes back to the Vienna State Opera. Stroll down the Kärntnerstraße and treat yourself to a Wiener Melange in a café on Neue Markt. And don’t forget to go window shopping down beautiful St._Stephen´s_Cathedral_Vienna.jpgAm Graben, and last but not least cool off in the calm sanctuary of St. Stephen’s Cathedral.

After that, it’s a short ride by underground to the Schönbrunn Palace, where not only can you view the stately rooms and apartments, but enjoy the park and a visit to the Gloriette as well.
