The day starts with a hearty breakfast to strengthen you for the exciting day that is to come. Sitting on the roof terrace of the hotel, you will enjoy the magnificent view over the surrounding area and plan ahead your day. Packing everything you need for a day on the beach, you walk to the lido Klagenfurt that is just a few steps away from the hotel. There you will be able rest on the lawn for sunbathing beneath one of the old trees before you start exploring the area with its long sandy beach, a great slide, a raft and many other attractions.
After some rest, it's time for a bit of beach volleyball – maybe some of Carinthia's local heroes will join you in a match or two. If you are into volleyball and keen on taking in some new moves, you should visit Klagenfurt at the end of July, when one of the most important beach volley tournaments is taking place - the Beach Volleyball Grand Slam! Don't miss the greatest party of the year.
After an exhausting match, you can regain your strength with a delicious pizza or pasta at the lido pizzeria. Also allow yourself a refreshing drink to be ready to trail the heroes of the Iron Man, the world's most fierce marathon. Borrowing a bike from the lido, you begin your tour right between the lido and the Europapark, one of Austria's largest parks. This is the area where the participants of the Iron Man usually start the marathon. Every July they cover 42 kilometers of swimming, cycling and running from here – but we take the way back to the hotel, which is just a kilometer ahead. Now there's again a chance to refresh and relax before getting ready for the city nightlife!
From the hotel, it takes about 20 minutes by bicycle to the city centre of Klagenfurt. The most suitable place to start a party tour is the Herrengasse with its bars and pubs. There you will meet lots of other people who are keen on sports, to exchange experiences, and have a good time.
By the way, there are six different places to return your bicycle, for instance the "Uniwirt" right in front of the Hotel, or the Tourist Information in the city centre.
